Event Report
Our Hilo event was blessed with nice weather and great company. Throughout the four-hour event, we had a steady flow of local EV owners and the EV-curious. Our location (a parking space at a local mall) allowed for a good amount of traffic.
We had a broad selection of EVs at our event: BMW i4, BYD, Fiat 500e, Ford Lightning, Ford Mach-e, Hyundai Ioniq5, Kia Soul EV, Nissan Ariya, Nissan LEAF, Rivian R1T, Tesla CyberTruck, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model S, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model Y. The CyberTruck and Rivian were especially popular.
This event was notable as many residents very interested in purchasing an EV came by to ask questions about ownership and charging. It helped to have a broad selection of EVs to check out and very helpful Big Island EV owners willing to share their experiences and address questions. The materials offered by PlugInAmerica and EVA were especially helpful.

Event Description
Big Island EV Association is hosting an electric vehicle show at the Prince Kuhio Plaza on October 5, 2024.
This event will include a display of the latest EVs and an information booth where the public can get their EV and EV charging questions addressed. Note that this will be separate from the He Ala Pono EV and Sustainability Fair, which will be held on October 19.
Our event will be held in the parking lot fronting the old SEARS, on Makaala St, across from the Walmart complex.
