Event Report

This was a first-year event in the North Country region of New York State and a great time was had by all!

Special thanks to the fantastic host venue - The Wild Center located in Tupper Lake, and the Clean Energy Team from the North Country Clean Energy Hub located in Saranac Lake.

Great tabling information was provided by the New York Power Authority, National Grid, Clean Communities of CNY, a US DOE Clean Cities and Communities Coalition, SUNY Canton | EV Maintenance Automotive Program, Third Act Upstate New York, Apex Energy Tek (including Level 2 chargers!), and of course the North Country Clean Energy Team.

Attendees enjoyed a picture perfect day!  Many hundreds of EV-curious folks engaged in 1-on-1 conversations with nearly 40 EV owners, and several local participating dealerships.  Vehicles ran the size gamut from a briefcase scooter (big hit!) to a Ford Transit converting into a tiny home (equally big hit!), a Polaris all-electric UTV (another big hit!) to a Blue Bird School Bus (yup, big hit too!).

Event Description

 

Join us for this FREE event during National Drive Electric Week to help raise awareness about the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. Highlight e-mobility and sustainability throughout NYS and beyond! The North Country Drive Electric Expo will take place on Saturday, September 28th, from 11 am to 3 pm at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. 

A family-friendly event where you can talk with local electric vehicle owners and experts who will showcase their vehicles, answer your questions, & share their EV-enthusiasm.  We expect a wide variety of all-electric and plug-in-hybrid vehicles will be on display, including SUVs, pickup trucks, and E-bikes. Exhibitors will be on-site demonstrating all things electric! After, you are welcome to tour The Wild Center and connect with nature--learn about the environment you could be protecting by making the transition to EVs.
