Join us to celebrate National Drive Electric Month at Brookside Park's 100th Anniversary Celebration! Whether you are curious about EVs or already own one and want to share your story, this event is for you. There will also be information on City of Ames resources for EVs, including local charging stations, utility incentives, and more!
Activities
- Test drive EVs with local dealers
- Check out electric vehicles and talk to their owners about what it's like to own an EV
- Learn about incentives, benefits, and EV resources
- Grab some EV goodies provided by NDEM and the City of Ames
Event details
This event will run alongside Brookside Park's
100th Birthday Bash on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Drivers will be on-site to answer questions about driving electric. City staff will provide information on local incentives, initiatives, and where charging stations are located. Come learn, interact with electric vehicles, talk to owners, and grab some goodies!

Please register your vehicle if you would like to participate in this event as space is limited. Drivers need to arrive on-site at least 15 minutes before the event starts at 10 a.m.
