Event Report
A cold, wet day somewhat dampened ElectricCarPalooza, our finale for National Drive Electric Week. (We had an EV display at a local farmer's market on Sept. 8 to kick-off NDEW and offered test drives and rides at Main Street Station in downtown Richmond on Sept. 10-14.) Despite the weather and a one-week delay due to Hurricane Florence, we managed to connect with EV owners from all over the state as well as with more than 30 shoppers at The Carytown Farmers Market.

Event Description
As the finale to Richmond’s fifth annual celebration of National Drive Electric Week, Drive Electric RVA will have its largest display of electric vehicles of the year at The Carytown Farmers Market. The main line-up — which includes plug-in hybrids like the Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius Prime, and all-electric cars like the BMW i3 and Nissan LEAF — will be at the market's entrance. We also plan to highlight all four of Teslas models — the Roadster, S, X and 3 — at the center of the market.
In addition to the display, we will have our EV Experience educational exhibit and tables with handouts and activities for children. We'll also have a drawing for 10 National Drive Electric Week goodie bags, each of which comes with a free basic membership to the Electric Auto Association. Just look for the Chevy Bolt with the Dominion Energy logo to enter the drawing.
