Event Report

The National Drive Electric Week at Hunterdon Land Trust was part of weekly Farmers Market. Our original date was September 29 but due to the rain, we decided to postpone to October 13. The weather on the 13th was awesome. This was the third EV show organized by NJ Electric Vehicle Association on these premises. In total, we had 15 EVs and one electric bike. We had 2 Tesla Cybertrucks and one child version of it, which attracted small kids. We also hosted Rutgers Solar Racer that was brought by a group of 8 Rutgers students. Our tent & table was complemented by a display from goHunterdon, County's Transportation Management Association.

V2X Demo
Owner of Ford F150 Lightning demonstrated V2L capability with table saw and chain saw. These were not powered for safety reasons. However, we were able to demonstrate V2V charging. First, we plugged Smart ED to the F150 using L1 cord. Then, we plugged this Smart car to Lucid Air using 9.6 kW Lucid V2V system. The Smart arrived with 15% SOC and after V2V charging, it was 100% fully charged.

EV volunteers received NJEVA T-shirts, car magnets, window clings, and small stickers paid through NJEVA sponsors Genesco Sport Enterprises, Princeton Ciocca Chevrolet, and Signature Detailing.

Event Description

NOTE: Event moved to Sunday, October 13

Come visit the Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market and learn about electric vehicles from owners of a variety of EVs.
The venue hosts Farmer Market every Sunday so bring your family to try fresh produce, fruits, veggies, handcrafts etc.

On September 29, the Hunterdon Land Trust invited NJEVA to bring electric vehicles to enrich the program and allow visitors to learn more about electric drive.  EV owners will share their experiences, showcase their vehicles, shed light on available rebates, and answer your questions. Please try to arrive by 8:45 AM. It is OK to leave earlier but we ask you to stay for at least 3 hours.

New this year: Everyone who brings their EV will obtain navy blue cotton T-shirt with pocket and NJEVA logo at the front and "Ask about my EV" in the back. Car magnets, window clings and stickers, all with NJEVA logo will be available.

Also, we shall have Solar racer vehicle brought by Rutgers team. Very exciting.
