Event Report

Many thanks to our three sponsors, who covered the required university police detail as well as box lunches for all exhibitors and volunteers. Jim Armstrong of Armstrong Field Realty, Rachel Zorzy of A & A Services, and Morgen Boisvert of HomeWorks energy made this happen!

A HUGE shout out to Dan Delpapa, Super Volunteer!  I could not have done it without him. It was fascinating to watch him carry an A-Frame sign on a unicycle! He arrived early to help me set up, and stayed late to help with breakdown.

Special thanks to Alex Marks, who unfortunately couldn't make it due to a broken foot, but was kind enough to lend me both his tern hsd AND his Ford F150 Lightning to bring to the event. Which meant I didn't have to run around trying to figure out how I was going to get his bike, my bike, AND all my outreach stuff (which would not all fit a bike) to the event.

We had 9 exhibitors showing and/or offering rides on....

Three longtail cargo bikes  (2 Aventon Abounds - passenger setup, 1 Lectric Xpedition 1.0 w/Lectric pannier bags and large front basket
A tern hsd cargo bike - passenger setup
A Specialized
A Tracer Raptor Stretch E-Cruiser (The best way to describe it would be the "low rider" of e-bikes)
Two Bunch Bikes: One family of four rode in on one with mom & 2 kids in the front , and the other was the "pooch setup," owned by a woman who takes dog walking to a new level by bringing them on hikes
An Aventon Step-through (not sure which model)
One electric scooter
8-10 electric unicycles of various models

We had several older adults show up seeking more accessible bikes, such as folding bikes that could be lifted into a car, or training wheels for adults. Unfortunately, I didn't have much to show them. Should I run this event in the future, I will try to have vendors/exhibitors with adaptive bikes on hand.
