The State of Vermont’s Department of Buildings & General Services (BGS) invites you to join us for the Annual Ride and Drive Event on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 136 State Street in Montpelier. Open to anyone interested in electric vehicles, the event will feature delicious offerings from the Alladin Food Truck, EV test-driving opportunities, charging demonstrations, and displays of various makes and models — including an electric zero-turn lawnmower. You’ll have the chance to meet and talk with EV owners, explore the latest technology, and learn about purchasing options, home charging stations, and available rebates and incentives from Drive Electric Vermont. Representatives will be on hand to answer your questions and provide information on financial programs that make EV ownership more affordable. Attendees can enter multiple raffles for a chance to win exciting prizes, with special drawings for those who take a test drive, EV owners who bring their vehicle, and general participants. Register in advance for an extra entry, and if you’d like to showcase your own EV, please sign up as a volunteer and be present for at least part of the event to engage with attendees. While only state employees may drive state-owned vehicles, everyone is encouraged to attend, enjoy the food, and take part in demonstrations. Come experience this fun and informative afternoon celebrating clean transportation in Vermont.
