Event Report
This EVent was all about electric vehicles. The utility, JEA, and Florida State Community Jacksonville (FSCJ) hosted the EV Car Show, EV Test Drives, and North Florida Electrathon Race. North Florida's EV ecosystem was represented by:- School-sponsored, student-built, electrically powered vehicles that races - Electrathon Races
- EV Car Show where current EV owners displayed and talked about EV ownership with potential EV owners
- Eight Dealerships provided 25 new 2025 EVs for test drives
- A JTA Autonomous Vehicle was on display
Student attendees participated in Electrathon activities and interacted with FSCJ Advanced Automotive Technologies Professors that are educating the transportation electrification workforce of the future.

What to Expect
- Test drives from local dealerships, including O'Steen Volvo and VW, George Moore Chevrolet, Duval Honda, Tom Bush BMW, MINI, VW and Vinfast, Duval Ford, and more
- First Coast Electrathon car races featuring custom-built EVs
- EV car show and meet and greet with local owners (including vehicles from Tesla, Ford, Chevy, Rivian and more)
- Opportunity to learn about JEA’s EV incentives
Important Info for Attendees
1. If you plan to test drive dealership vehicles, you will be required to bring your driver's license and a hard copy of your car insurance
2. Please do not touch EV car show vehicles without permission from the owner

For EV Owners Participating in the Car Show:
1. Set-up for the car show starts as early as 9:00am, but feel free to arrive at any time during the event
2. If possible, park near other EVs of the same make/model
3. You're not required to stay the entire time, but you are welcome to!
Schedule Highlights
- 9:15 a.m.: Event opens to attendees
- 9:30 a.m.: Electrathon Race 1 begins
- 10:00 a.m.: EV test drives begin and food trucks open for service
- 11:45 a.m.: Electrathon Race 2 begins
- 12:45 p.m.: Electrathon award ceremony at the start/finish line
- 1:00 p.m.: Test drives end and event closes
